Using the Frame Die Scraps

I love to use up all my scrap when I cut out fancy frames for my cards. I don't throw much away. And this metallic paper is expensive so I want to use as much of it as I can.

I think the scrap is sometimes just as pretty as the frames you cut out of a piece of 5" x 7" card. Why throw this stuff away when you can make something pretty out of it.

Doesn't it frame the card just beautifully? I could have got it centered a little better but I still like it. So next time you're making a bunch of cards just try to think of ways to re-use all the pretty stuff. It's fun!

Corner Pocket Dies

I am just in love with the new Anna Griffin Corner Pocket dies. They just add a touch of elegance to a gathering of flowers. This one is so cute with the butterfly treasury card. You wouldn't think red geraniums would go with pink and yellow-greenish gold would you? Well they do.

What I love about making cards is that you can embellish them with paint, pastels, other pieces from other card sets and just about anything you want to make them a one of a kind. No two are ever exactly alike! I'm having fun playing with these die cuts and all my flower pieces.

Roses and Butterflies

Little bouquets of flowers in pretty decorative pots. These make the prettiest cards. You just slide them open to stand them up. I like to make them with glittery butterflies.

You can put these together in so many different ways. This is from an Anna Griffin card kit (my favorite) but there is also a set of dies so you can make them out of your own papers.

There is so much variety with these that you would have trouble getting two to match exactly even if you tried. So pretty!
